John Walton Jackson Sr., 72, of Stuttgart died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Crestpark of Stuttgart.

          Mr. Jackson was born June 30, 1937, in DeWitt to Floyd and Louise Shook Jackson. He was an Army veteran and retired as Quality Control Inspector at Lennox Industries. He was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church.

          Survivors are his wife, Agnes Powell Jackson; one son, John Jackson Jr. (Penny) of Pine Bluff; four daughters, Paula Bracewell (Bill) of Almyra, Phyllis Jackson of Star City, Cathy Pettit (Bobby) of Conway and Bethany Smith (Darren) of North Little Rock; four stepchildren; two brothers, Charles Floyd Jackson (Shirley) and William Eugene Jackson (Barbara), all of DeWitt; six grandchildren; and 15 step-grandchildren.

          Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. George Rook, are 2 p.m. Monday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church with burial in Crocketts Bluff Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

          Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.

          Memorials may be made to Grand Avenue United Methodist Church or the donor’s choice.
